One Chance helps spread awareness regarding County Lines and provides guidance and support for children, young adults and those working in the education sector
Children, youths and adults are potentially being deceived about County Lines and what it involves by the streets and social media. Most of the time, people are coerced or groomed by someone, before they realise they are victims of a County Lines criminality and exploitation. Unfortunately this criminality and exploitation can take many forms, and victims can be subjected to harms which could include serious violence and sexual assault as well being trafficked far from home, and into debt bondage whether real or otherwise.
While providing students with essential tools to spot the signs, understand the risks and keep themselves safe, the session will capture the benefits of Early Intervention, what a proactive approach can achieve, and best practice when dealing reactively to victims of county lines criminality and exploitation.
The assembly year group type workshops are open to all from Juniors schools, secondary school, college, and university students in England and Wales.
Students can attend a variety of confidential Drop-In services that will be on offer at their school during the attending day, which is designed to support individuals if they can relate to the material or are worried about someone else.
